Acceptable use
LOLS Cloud relay, last updated 24 August 2026
LOLS Cloud is a free bonding relay run at our own cost. It takes the video you send it and forwards it to wherever you are streaming. There is no charge and no account with us: you sign in with Twitch to create a key, and we keep only the account id and username that sign-in returns. These rules are what keep the relay free.
What the relay does with your stream
- It forwards your video and audio. It does not record, store or inspect them.
- We keep the account id and username of the Twitch account that created a key, so that the monthly allowance belongs to a person rather than to a key. We ask Twitch for no permissions beyond identifying you, and we never receive your Twitch password.
- We keep a salted hash of the IP address that created a key, never the address itself, solely to rate-limit key creation, and we delete it after 24 hours.
- We record how many seconds each key has streamed, so the monthly allowance can be metered. That is all the usage data that exists.
- Keys that are created and never used are deleted after 30 days.
What you must not use it for
- Anything unlawful, or content that is unlawful to distribute.
- Content sexualising children, or promoting terrorism or mass violence. Keys used for this are revoked immediately and without notice.
- Harassment of, or non-consensual recording of, other people.
- Material you do not have the right to broadcast.
- Disguising the origin of a stream in order to evade a ban, a block or an investigation.
- Reselling relay capacity, or automating key creation to work around the allowance.
Limits
- One account may create up to 3 keys per day, and one network may create up to 3 keys per day whoever is signed in. The monthly streaming allowance belongs to the account, so a second key does not come with a second allowance.
- The relay is provided as is, with no guarantee of availability. Do not use it for anything you cannot afford to have interrupted, and always keep a direct fallback destination configured.
Enforcement
We can revoke any key at any time, and we will do so on credible report of a breach of the rules above. Because a key is created through a Twitch sign-in, we can also block that account from creating further keys. Revocation is not appealable.
Reporting abuse
Email support@lols.gg. Include the relay hostname and the approximate time in UTC. If you are reporting content, say where you saw it being broadcast. We cannot see stream content ourselves, so a relay hostname alone is rarely enough to act on.
